Magazines

Boat International Media produces more than 1.2 million magazines annually. Its market covers more than 60 countries, including licensed editions in Turkish and Russian.

Boat International was launched in 1983 as the senior title in superyachting. It is a monthly, English language, luxury yachting magazine distributed in 55 different counties. The magazine was relaunched with the same title in 2014. Boat International US Edition, originally launched in 1988 as ShowBoats International, is published 11 times a year and distributed throughout North America from a publishing base in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Boat International Russia is produced and edited in Moscow, and is distributed in airport VIP lounges, private jet terminals, exclusive hotels and restaurants, the newsstand and via subscription. Boat International Turkey was launched in 2016 and is published four times a year.

Dockwalk, Boat International's sister publication, was launched in 1998, and targets captains and crew of superyachts around the globe.

Websites

www.boatinternational.com was launched in 2007 as the online marketplace to research superyachts for sale. The website was relaunched in May 2015, and now includes a considerable editorial section alongside the yacht listings. Content now includes features on yachting lifestyle, in-depth articles on specific yachts and destination guides.

www.dockwalk.com is the online community portal serving the captains and crew that work on board superyachts. Alongside the forum community, there is an extensive list of the latest job vacancies, training courses and useful guides to working in the luxury yacht industry.

Mobile App

Boat International launched mobile apps on the iTunes App Store for the Boat International magazine and ShowBoats magazine in 2010. In September 2017 the Boat International app was relaunched and switched to responsive magazine format, combining Boat International and Boat International US Edition into a new monthly digital edition. The digital edition is available on the iTunes App Store and the Google Play Store.

Books

The Superyachts has been published annually since 1987 and focuses on the finest yachts launched in the most recent calendar year as well as showcasing the largest 200 yachts in the world. Futureyachts is a bookazine first published in April 2017. It explores the future of yachting and the possibilities available to both new-build and refit projects. Charterfleet, launched in 1992 and published annually, is an in depth guide to superyachts available to charter. It focuses on expert charter advice, maps and itineraries.

Events

The World Superyacht Awards is an annual ceremony and gala dinner for superyacht owners, builders and designers. In 2018 the awards will take place in Florence, Italy in May. Boat International Media also hosts the annual Superyacht Design Symposium, which attracts an audience of superyacht owners, designers, naval architects, project managers, interior specialists, builders and captains. The Design and Innovation Awards, previously known as The ShowBoats Design Awards, celebrates superyacht styling and naval architecture.

In 2017, Boat International Media collaborated with leading ocean conservation charity Blue Marine Foundation for the second annual edition of The Ocean Awards. The event celebrates individuals and projects that have made outstanding contributions to the health of the oceans.
